The first stage of the growth of the Tiberias Church of God in Sydney began with the forming of a church at Sydney Boys High School, under the shepherding of Pastor Charles Jap. The service of this church was then given more responsibiliy of God through the ordination of the Tiberias Church of God, Sydney on 13 June 2002 by Pastor Yesaya Pariadji, in his capacity as Senior Pastor of the Central Tiberias Church in Indonesia.

In line with the mission of Tiberias Church Indonesia, Tiberias Church Sydney also took on the following Service Mission: "Preparing a holy and missionary congregation who are ready to enter the Heaven"

With God's word in Mark 6:12-13, John 6:54-56, James 5:14-16, Tiberias Church understands the poer of God behind the Holy Communion and the Anointing Oil. This declaration of God's power has been proven through the many real testimonies from people who have experienced the touch and power of the Holy Spirit.

Our Senior Minister was born in Jakarta 1958, he completed his studies in London and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oxford. He then migrated to Australia where he served the under privileged in Villawood detention centre for over 10 years, it was here that the Lord told him, that he should study more about his work, thus in 1996-1998 he completed his Diploma of Ministry at Southern Cross College. It was at the end of his former ministry that our Lord Jesus Christ called him to minister in his church called Tiberias Ministry International. In his spare time he either goes swimming, jogging or cooking. His motto “To prepare the congregation, to enter Heaven in God's Holiness"

Our Women’s Minister was born in Lembang, a tiny town near Bandung. She became involved in the ministry first as a chef giving meals to those that were under privileged also at the same time preaching the gospel for Christ. When our Senior Minister was called upon to minister in his church called Tiberias Ministry International, our women’s minister was also called to assist. She is currently the worship leader of our church and helps women in the church understand the importance of God’s work. Her hobbies include fashion designs and singing.

The eldest son of our senior minister and women’s minister was born in Melbourne 1986. Tim currently serves as the church's secretary/treasurer helping the senior minister to spend more of his time helping those in need and to preach the gospel of Christ. His hobbies include badminton and chess. In his spare time he likes to jog, paintball or play soccer with friends. Currently he is reading for his Doctor of Philosophy in Law.

The second son of our senior minister and women’s minister was born in Sydney 1988. He is currently reading for his Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) (Final Year) at Wollongong University. Charles’s hobbies also include soccer, paintball, basketball and athletics. In his spare time he plays soccer with his friends.

The only daughter of the senior minister and women’s minister was born in Sydney 1990. She is currently a musician at our church and serves in the youth ministry as well. She hopes to use here talent of music to serve our Lord Jesus Christ.
